Gressoney-La-Trinité (1.644 m) is the highest village in the Lys Valley. It is very popular both for winter sports and for the numerous walks and hikes in Monte Rosa’s massif.
Its most appealing characteristics are the warm welcome and the breathtaking view the village offers. You’ll be amazed by the typical Walser houses (Walser is the name of the original inhabitants), the so-called “Stadel”, buildings made of wood and stone, lying on short mushroom-shaped pillars.
From here you can reach on skis all three valleys of the ski resort "MonterosaSki" and enjoy a 200-kilometre long piste net, characterised by different difficulty levels.
